Another Car Appointment

I had an appointment this morning for my car at the Lexus dealer. While I've been driving it every day so I haven't had any starting issues recently, my Mom talked to some people when she had been there with her car and they thought it was odd that it needed to be run every day or it wouldn't start. I had brought it in before for this, was told it was normal, to run it every day, and that was that. I really wasn't expecting much different at this appointment and thought it would be a waste of my time, but decided what the hell - maybe they could tell me what was going on with it.

They checked out the battery and said it checked out good. They said it was at 65% charge even though I had been running it every day and they charged it back up. I was told to keep running it every day or yes, it might not start again. *sigh* I was also told that these cars are weird. Apparently American cars power down when they've been turned off for 20 minutes. Japanese cars don't, so the battery wears down much faster if it's not run. Blah, blah, blah, once again I'm told it's all normal.

Anyway, we'll see what happens the next time I head to my Mom's place and it hasn't been run for a few days. Hopefully, it will start, but I'll plan on having the AAA number ready.

I think I scared some people when I was in there because I was reading some of the back issues of Fangoria magazine that I hadn't had the time to read as of late. Two elderly people even left the area I was sitting in when they saw what I was reading. What??? I like horror movies and used to write them. Sheesh.

Heh. I have a subscription to Fangoria and Cat Fancy. I wonder what that says about me?

So, I have an opinion I want from you all. As most of you know, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, and I rarely drink. My vice is tattoos. I like them, they make me feel better about the way I look, and it's my means of coping with stress. I'm thinking of getting a new one, possibly as soon as Easter weekend (but perhaps later on). I'm thinking about getting either a snake or some ivy wrapped around my left wrist, so that it could be covered by a watch. I need to make sure all of my tats can be concealed one way or another for things like job interviews and the like. Thoughts? Snake? Ivy? Do it? Don't do it?
