Missing Berek

On Wednesday Berek and I hung out around the house in the morning because it was icky and muggy outside. The three of us (Berek, Gabriel, and I) headed out to meet up with Rob at his office for lunch. We ate at one of their cafeterias and the pizza there was amazingly good. We got the tour of the place and I was finally able to meet Rob's co-worker Ben and his boss Harold. After that Berek, Gabriel, and I headed out and went back home since it was raining out. Wednesday night we went to Noodles and Company for dinner, Berek really liked that place.

On Thursday Rob had his work from home day so he was willing to watch Gabriel while Berek and I headed out. We went to lunch at Suburpia (best subs ever) and then headed around the area. We went to two different game stores, a comic book store, and then wrapped things up with a visit to Caribou. We headed back home and when Rob was done with work we all got ready to head up to West Bend to meet a college friend of Berek's for dinner. She lives in Oshkosh, so we picked a place that was around halfway for us to meet. I found a restaurant and brewery that was really good and we had dinner there. The food and company was excellent and it was great being able to meet Berek's friend. We exchanged info before we left. Oh, and their berry weiss beer that they make there is to die for, and I'm not usually that much of a beer drinker. On the way home from dinner we needed to stop at Rob's office so he could un-forward his phone and then we headed back to the apartment for the night.

Friday Rob took the day off of work and we all headed down to near the Illinois border. We had lunch at Cracker Barrel and then took Berek to Mars Cheese Castle where all of us got some tasty cheese and meats. We made a stop at a bakery for some kringles and then took a driving tour of the area near lake Michigan and the downtown are before taking Berek to the airport.

It sucked seeing Berek leave and Gabriel was not happy about it at all. He actually became rather attached to Berek while he was here. But, sadly, Berek needed to return home. Of course, we kept trying to convince him to move out here. At the very least, now he understands why we chose to move out to Wisconsin and why we love it out here so much.

Seems Berek had his bags searched on the way through security and amused the one doing the search by the cheese, sausage, and kringle he had packed away in there.

Last night Rob and I chilled out around the house. We ate some of our meat and cheese for dinner and wished that Berek could have stayed out here longer or would move out here. All of us (including Sydney) misses him now that he's back home.

I don't know how often Berek reads this, but if you are reading it, we miss you. Hope you had a fun time while you were here!
