2011-01-27 1:39 PM Another Doctor's Visit Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Sick Read/Post Comments (0) Headed to the doctor yesterday. My usual doctor (Dr. R) was booked solid, so I had to see a different doctor. My lungs are full of mucus and I'm constantly coughing and having a hard time breathing, so I knew I needed to get in to see a doctor before I ended up in the ER. Turns out, it's a good thing I ended up going to the doctor's office. I still have pneumonia in my left lung and that's also now complicated by also having bronchitis. From the color of the mucus I've been coughing up, she also thought there might be a bronchial infection there as well. Ugh. No wonder I can barely breathe and when I do it rattles. I'm on heavy duty antibiotics (Levaquin, the same thing I was on a few months back for a staph infection) and steroids (joy, I can also gain weight while sick) for the next ten days, though it might take longer than that to completely clear up. I'm not happy about being on steroids even if it is only for ten days (these ones are stronger than the ones that made me pack on the pounds in the first place), but I guess I'd rather gain weight and be able to breathe than not gain weight and not be able to breathe.
