Mom came out to visit for a few days. It was nice. We don't get to see her nearly enough, at least, for my tastes.

She came out on Sunday and we got take out from a Mediterranean restaurant for dinner. She loved it. Yay. It's always fun introducing her to new foods. Later that night we watched The Amazing Race and Celebrity Apprentice (go Busey!).

Monday we just chilled out around the house. She's having problems with one of her legs and I still have gunk in my lungs, so we just played with Gabriel (Monday is one of the days he is not in preschool). At one point I made a run to Fresh Market to pick up supplies for dinner (filet mignon steaks, mashed potatoes, cucumber salad, and mushrooms) and then headed back home. When Rob got home from work we made dinner and it turned out great. We also watched House.

She headed out this morning, to visit my Nana and then to head home. I've already gotten the call from her that she's back at home.

When I brought Gabriel home from preschool, he was sad that Nana wasn't still here. I explained to him that she had to head home and that we would see her again around Easter. He kept telling me he wanted her back sooner.

In preschool today, Gabriel had fun making something called "baby monkey bread". This kid absolutely loves to cook and now claims that he wants to be a "doctor-chef" when he grows up. I have no problems if he wants to pursue either of those careers.
