Users have lost entries in-progress because they click on a link and their browser goes to the new page losing their entry or their browser crashes and loses their entry.

To help stem the flow of lost entries, we've put together a simple autosave feature. A bit of JavaScript works invisibly on the New Entry and Edit Entry pages automatically saving your in-progress entry into cookies in your browser.

If you lose your entry, go back to the New Entry or Edit Entry page and you will see a Restore Autosave link just above the large Body textarea. When you click that link, a pop-up window will ask you to confirm that you want to overwrite what you currently have on the screen with the autosave from the cookies.

If you do not see the Restore Autosave link, try reloading the page. If you click Back on your browser to get back to the page the link will not be there. You need to reload the page to see the restore link.
