Today was the first day of the cyberathlete professional league tornament. We are spectating the events, and went to register today. As there were not many events going on, we went and did some touristy things. We went to the observation deck of the Hyatt-Regency tower, then had dinner in the dome. This is the round globe in the Dallas skyline. The dinner area rotates, so you get a great view of all parts of Dallas. From here we were able to see the grassy knoll. So, after dinner, we went down and looked at the site. There is an "x" in the middle of the road where Kennedy was shot. In the middle of a 4 lane highway. No picture opportunity here! (unless you want the "here is so and so getting hit by oncoming traffic" photo.) After that, we walked around the west end for a bit and then headed back to the convention center for the opening ceremony. It was a fun day, and I look forward to tomorrow. The only down part was the band that played before we left, I now have a bit of a headache...
