Ok, I had my family baby shower this weekend. I have some great relatives. First, it was NOT a surprise. This pleases me to no end. (After the horror of being 2 hours late and not dressed appropriately for my wedding shower, I never want another surprise party!!!!) Let me sum up the weekend first though:

Saturday my sister and I went shopping while Paul studied. Shelley got a really pretty suit, and I got comfortable shoes. (my feet are now a full size larger then normal by the end of the day.) We also picked up a birthday gift for Mom. After the shopping, we came back home and went out to dinner. We went to Bahama Breeze, a restaurant chain that serves carribean food.

Sunday was my shower. We spent the morning hanging out and just relaxing. I got some great stuff, including my jogger stroller and car seat. A bunch of neccessities, like wipes and diapers, clothes of course and toys. It was a lot of fun. Being as a large part of both families live in NY, my sister put together an album of pages from all our friends and family who could not be there. I was in tears reading it, from laughter mostly! So thank you all for the great stuff, and the book is a treasure. When you all come to visit, remind me to show you the completed version.

And now I must go meet Paul for dinner. I have no energy to cook today, or most other days for that matter...so it's out to dinner!
