2004-02-06 9:54 PM Questions Ok, so I follow in the footsteps of the rest of the clot...Thank you Tempest for my questions, and here are my answers. The rules are at the bottom.
1. What do you consider to be the #1 problem in the United States and how would you fix it if you had the time, money, super powers to do so? I think the biggest problem in this country is people’s inability to look beyond borders. Whether it be borders on a map or in their minds. So many of us are only concerned about what is best for ourselves, we forget that others have the right to be different. Being a northeastern in the southwest, religion is a big example. I am not religious. Yet so many people swear that their religion is the only one. Another example is the whole war on terrorism. We support the war, yet we all get in our cars/trucks/suvs and drive ourselves to work/play. No carpooling, no conservation. Yet we know that our gas money is going to support countries like Iraq. Another example is our country’s view on sex. We use sex to sell everything, yet we are offended by the hint of Janet Jackson’s boob during the superbowl. Why is it that women in Afganistan were being tortured and murdered, and we didn’t take any notice until after 9/11. 2. If you could wave a magic wand and suddenly know how to do something what would it be and why? This was a really hard question. The problem is there are so many things I would like to know how to do. Speak Japanese, so I could listen to anime. stop time, so I could take a nice long nap whenever I needed it. Learn how to cook better, so I could eat nice meals. But I think the one thing I would really like to learn is programming. Mostly because I really enjoy puzzles, and I think coding is fascinating. It would also be a great option for a second career. If I should ever get bored with corporate retail, I could always be a programmer. 3. You're a video game character. What's the story of your adventure? Describe your character and your world. There are two versions to this. Reality and fantasy. If you want the reality, then I am the Sims. I am a business person. I vanish off to work in a car everyday. I come home with money and spend the rest of my free time trying to keep my house neat, my hunger controlled, my bladder empty and my sleep in the green. In the fantasy version, it would truly be fantasy setting. I am an Eleven archer, with some slight magic abilities. I am of good alignment, and have a few good friends. I would be on a quest for something that would make the world a better place. It would be a game with lots of humor and action. Why, because that is the kind of game I would like to play. 4. What do you want Jade to be when she grows up? Happy and healthy. Simple but very true. I can’t stand parents who try to form their children into some idea of what they wanted to be when they were young. I did not have a baby so that I could have a copy of myself. I want her to be able to be whatever she chooses, and I hope that I can provide her with the confidence to make that choice. 5. Who was/is the most influencial person on your life and why? Two people really. My Mom and Paul. Mom because she raised me to be the person I am. Paul because he always pushes me to be a better person, and find levels of myself that I didn’t think I could ever reach. RULES: 1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed. 2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions. 3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers. 4 - You'll include this explanation. 5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
