My baby turned 5 today. She is such a sweet wonderful girl (most of the time), and we really worked hard to make sure she had a great day. Jenn and I spent the last 2 days prepping. Yesterday we painted her room, a very pretty pale purple. Somehow we managed to keep her out of her room all evening. She slept with Grandma. This morning we got her up, late, let her open a present, then took her to daycare with birthday cupcakes for her class. We then started the rest of her room. Curtains, wall decorations, a big girl bed, all new bedding and a fun Ikea chair. It took all 4 of us to get everything done, but it was done before we picked her up from daycare. We picked her up, took her to dinner, her choice of Dave and Busters. She got nearly 2000 tickets and walked away with a bag of goodies. Then we came home and showed her the room. She loved it! Her face just lit up when she walked into the room. It was great. She climbed on the bed, twirled in the chair, then opened more gifts and played in her room. It was really sweet. I love my girl. Saturday we will have the family party, so she will get another fun day. And tomorrow we are off from work, so sleeping in and going to the pool with her cousins. She should have a blast.

Sigh, my girl is growing up. :)
