Today is Christmas Eve. Jade is so excited that she can't seem to get to sleep. This has been the most fun year for the holidays. Jade is old enough to understand, and young enough to 'believe.' It's a lot of fun. This morning was the cutest yet though. Paul got up and went to work. Jade woke and came into my room, all dejected. I took one look at her and said "Jade, honey, whats wrong??" She looked at me and said something to the effect of "Mommy, its Christmas eve, and Santa didn't come!" She really thought that Santa didn't come this year! I explained that "eve" was the day before, and that Santa would come tomorrow. She was much happier after that. But oh the look of pure disappointed sadness on her face! We spent the day doing fun stuff. My house is a mess, and I don't care, at least for today. We made cookies for Santa, went shopping, went to lunch with a friend, came home and played and watched holiday movies. Just pure fun. Tomorrow should be a blast.
