Grandma's Journal

Monday, brought Neil home from work and he decded to stay up and do some Honey Dew things that he just hasn't had the energy to do during his days off. So he cleaned the driveway, and got new tires on our bikes so we can ride without worring about thorns. He ran to town to buy some tools for work, came home ate lunch and off to bed he went around 1:30pm...I didn't see him again until 10:30pm...Needless to say it was quite around the house yesterday. I was able to get a lot of extra work done, like mopping the floors, doing dishes, laundry, and spending some quality time with my mom.

Today Neil was up and out working outside way before I even thought to get out of bed. wow I got to sleep in! That was so nice! I don't get to do that very often anymore. I am normally up taking care of my mom by 9am...Oh I know someone of you are thinking 9am....wow don't you wish you could sleep in tell then...Sorry Cindy, I am really thinking of you!!! but I normally don't climb into bed until 11pm and that is to watch the Steve Wilko's show! then I might get up or crawl deeper into bed...it just depends on if I am tired or not.

I am planning on sneaking out with my husband and taking him out to lunch...just him and I...something we don't do much of anymore...

I might be getting a part time job! I don't want to go into details about it, as I was just asked the other day, but I am kind of excited about this, as it will get me out of the house, and get my feet wet! So say a little prayer for me!!

Grandma's Journal My Journal I became a Grandma at the age of 49 years old. Well I was actually only 17 days from being 50. My baby girl gave me gave me my first grandchild. He was a beautiful bouncy boy. Then 2 years later she surprised me on my birthday at 5am by waking me up and telling me "Happy Birthday Mom!" Time to get up we are going to the hospital and having a baby today! I told her NO that's tomorrow. It took a little bit for her to get it through my groggy head that she was going to be giving me a birthday present! and she totally did. She gave me a dark hair beautiful little grand daughter. Now I can enjoy spoiling 2. I have decided that the best thing in the world is being a Grandma! There is nothing that come close to that! I have been married for 30 years to a man that lives for his family. He only wants the best for all of us and spoils us all! He is a good man that works hard for his dollar. We have a pretty good marriage to say the least. Well it must be if we can put up with each others faults this long! My mom who has Alzehimers lives with us and has been for almost 3 years now. She is in the finally stages of the disease and still hangs in there. She loves to grab the broom and sweep. She does this everyday, and several times a day. I keeps her busy. She will even sweep the counch or the kitchen table if you let her. My oldest daughter is going to be 34 years old this year and hasn't lived at home in 16 years. I spend as must time as I can with her. But it is never enough. She plans on coming home to live and take care of us in 7 years. I cant wait! It's my dream to have her home. She is a dear friend to me and we have a great relationship. she always tells me that I am her best friend.

A friend of my oldest daughter made it for me, and she did a beautiful job.
