Books: That Da Vinci just won't quit. Tomorrow I'll go the library and pick up a boatload of books in preparation for the library closing on August 11th, not to reopen until about a month later.

Movies: We went to see the Tomb Raider movie tonight. I've read that it's factually, historically and archeologically inaccurate. What I noticed: her tattoos were more thoroughly concealed in this movie; she has attached earlobes. What I didn't notice: the story, or lack thereof.

Cats: The vet will tell us they need to lose weight. They've been on reduced calorie cat food for a year now and we only feed them the recommended amount. Xena drinks a small amount of Lactaid every day, but that's it for the special treats. They are exceptionally lethargic cats - more so than most of the cats I've ever had. Plus, they lie on their backs with their furry bellies exposed - I tell them they're an embarrassment to cats everywhere.
