2004-01-17 8:02 AM Mad Anthony Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) As I was driving to pick up Caitlin last night, I noticed one of the many historical markers that dot the highways here like a pox from the past. This one commemorated General Anthony Wayne, noting the birthplace of this Revolutionary leader and Indian fighter was nearby. I found another historical marker about Mad Anthony online, this one located in Venedocia, Ohio (the smallest village in Ohio to have its own home page, as noted on its web site) and it reads that his orders were to subdue Native American tribes. Pennsylvania is obviously lagging Ohio is revising the political incorrectness of our historical markers.
Dreams: I was a spy. I was returning home from a long trip abroad and had to travel by boat to get home. Once I was home, I knew that someone was trying to kill me. I found a man - I think it was my father - hiding in my shower (actually two bathtubs set up in an L-shaped configuration, each with a translucent shower curtain), almost crushed under the dead body of another man. I was racing around the house trying to pack a few pieces of clothing for Rebecca and me so that we could escape quickly. I had an empty brown shopping bag to use as a suitcase, but I couldn't decide on what clothing to take. There were a couple of pairs of Rebecca's shorts that I thought were too small for her, and drawers of my clothing, but nothing ever went into the bag. There was a woman in the house with me, who was trying to talk to me about something inconsequential, because she didn't know that the other spies were out to get me. I wonder if this all stemmed from cleaning up Rebecca's room yesterday morning. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
