Later next week, if all goes as planned, we will be subsumed by a company ten times our size and will become a wholly owned subsidiary. Although our organization will remain intact, and I'm hopeful that my job will also, the company that I joined 20 years ago will no longer exist. I've worked here for longer than I've been married, longer than I've ever lived in any one house, longer than I will probably ever work anwhere else. I've been through 3 CEOs (only one went to jail), 14 or so different offices, countless bosses and probably at least 4 year's worth of nights spent in hotel rooms. Maybe I should start keeping better track of all these statistics.
I think I may be coming down with the flu - can't get warm, stomach feels rather iffy, aching in many places. There is no time in my schedule for illness, so it will just have to wait. Movies: 1. Say It Isn't So. Say it isn't a movie, or anything resembling a movie. This had the Farrelly brothers' name on it, although they should not have allowed that. This was an embarrassment for all involved. 2. Die Another Day. Pierce Brosnan is not James Bond. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
