Fine for a TR6, but a little too saturated for the walls - the cats might be scared.
I spent a good part of the day adding songs to iTunes by scanning the playlists of my radio station and looking through other people's favorites. I found some songs I had forgotten to load in, and ended up buying a few that I already had on CDs that were hidden away in the kitchen behind the radio. I've also started to keep track of all the songs that iTunes doesn't yet have and that I don't own. It's a pretty short list so far, as they have much of what I want, but the ones they don't have tend to be some I'd really like to have: 1. Poozies, Another Train 2. John Wesley Harding, Negative Love 3. Nick Lowe, All Men Are Liars 4. Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, Somewhere Over The Rainbow 5. Gary Jules, Mad World (I downloaded the Tears for Fears version which is too fast and overly orchestrated) My shopping cart currently contains: 1. Mad Mission, Patty Griffin 2. Seven Nation Army, White Stripes 3. Video Killed the Radio Star, The Buggles (one of my favorite 80s songs, with a pleasant semi-Luddite tone to it) 4. I Touch Myself, The Divinyls (Caitlin objected strenuously when she heard me playing the clip from this song, claiming it was not appropriate that her mother listen to such perverse lyrics) 5. Someday, Someway, Marshall Crenshaw (I have a brain block about another song of his I want to download, but can't remember which one it is and don't have time to play the clips from all of them) 6. Iris, Goo Goo Dolls 7. Sweet Baby James, James Taylor (between that album, American Pie and several from Cat Stevens, they about encapsulate my 1970s listening experience. And the Bee Gees before they went disco, but I'd never admit that publicly) 8. Pancho and Lefty, Emmylou Harris (I could have sworn I downloaded this before. She got some good airplay out of the song of hers that was used in the Sopranos last week. Which now has the soundtrack from each of their shows in all seasons on the HBO website) 9. Our Town - two different versions - Iris Dement, and Jody Stecher and Kate Brislin I stopped at the mall today and was startled to see Princess Grace's face, adorned with sequins on the tiara and necklace she was wearing, on a pocketbook carried by a teenager. The likenesses of celebrities are all over the place - clothing, school supplies, coffee mugs, etc. but it was still jarring to see the face of someone I don't associate with teen coolness riding on a girl's shoulder bag.
