As of today, HeavyGlow is closed for submissions to the fall issue and open for winter submissions. Please, please, please review our guidelines very carefully before submitting your work.

ADDENDUM: ALTHOUGH WE'VE CLOSED OUR FALL SUBS, WE WILL STILL READ ANY AND ALL WORD REIGN SPECIAL FEATURES THAT WE RECEIVE BEFORE AUGUST 25TH. AT THIS TIME WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY WORD REIGN SUBMISSIONS AND THERE IS A VERY MODEST AMOUNT OF MONEY IN OUR ACCOUNT FOR THE TOP FOUR SUBMISSIONS IN THAT CATEGORY. THE LIST OF WORDS IS PASTED BELOW AND YOU'LL FIND THE GUIDELINES AT THE LINK POSTED IN THIS PARAGRAPH.

For the upcoming fall issue, we have two guest editors so that makes four of us reading your work so please expect a more lengthy, but hopefully more thorough, editing process. That said, all first round rejections have already been mailed off and we are in the process of reading and rereading and trying to make our final decisions. If you have submitted to HeavyGlow and not received a notification as yet, consider that a good sign--especially those of you who have been waiting for some time already (thanks so much for your patience!). We will be releasing our final notifications right on schedule over the next two weeks--on or before September 1st.
