Today, I'd like to announce that HeavyGlow submissions will be reopened on October 31st, 2007. I say that tentatively because my computer is old and very, very tired, but with more than a little luck I'll (hopefully) have a new computer by then, and if not, then I'll just trudge along with this old one until it gives up completely.

There are some early changes that are important to note. Web publication will be only twice yearly: Spring (May 15th), and Autumn (November 15th). Also, I may lower the word limit; still haven't made up my mind about that. I've Also (again tentatively) decided to create an annual print publication that will feature all, or most, of the web stories. It will not be free of cost unless I happen to score some sponsors, but I hope to make it available to contributors for no more than actual cost of publication. Keep an eye here and at the website ( HeavyGlow Flash Fiction ) for details about the new submission guidelines.



I ordered my proof copy of the HeavyGlow anthology yesterday. If all goes well, and if it reaches me in time, the book should be available for purchase on or about July 31st, 2007 at a cost of $9.25. That is a little more than the dollar over cost that I predicted earlier but it was the only way to get the price I wanted for the book because I hope to purchase a distribution package and ISBN before too long so it will be available for bookstore orders and listed as a book in print. We'll see how all that goes. Stay tuned for a TOC soon.



And finally, for those who want to list HeavyGlow in their biographies, please note that HeavyGlow is ONE word...not two.
