Okay folks, this one's tough. This was just posted on DorothyL. Barb is one of the good guys and someone I care about deeply. She's a fine talented writer and a damn good person. And this world is not ready to lose her. Please do whatever it is you do when someone is ill.

Barbara Seranella is a Los Angeles mystery writer, creator of the Munch Mancini series. She's been in the hospital for the past few weeks, awaiting a liver transplant, but has in the meantime gotten quite ill. She was transferred to ICU last night, and the next 24 to 48 hours will be critical.

Her husband's asked we spread the word throughout the mystery community -- please if you know people who would want to know this, please pass it on to whatever lists you're on that Barbara's frequented. Her family's overwhelmed right now, so they're requesting, please, no phone calls, no flowers, no email messages.

Prayer would be incredibly appreciated.
