2005-07-18 5:42 PM Surgery #2 - Barb Read/Post Comments (0) |
I know some of you are seeing this news elsewhere but I have no real way of knowing who reads this and who relies on it for news so I'll continue to post the news about Barbara for a while at least. She has come through the second transplant attempt _surprisingly_ well and there is again, some reason to hope. CJ Songer talked to Ron an hour or so ago and reported that he said her color's looking REALLY good, better even than last week after the first surgery, and the doctors say that her vital signs, the proteins and enzymes, et cetera, are right where they should be, which wasn't the case a few days ago. So despite being in dire health, she's found some strength and even though it's only been a day, it seems like things are better quicker. No one's going nuts yet but I think we have reason to believe.
