Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff, resigned today after being indicted on FIVE counts - obstruction of justice, perjury and making false statements.

George Takei, one of the true gentlemen of the universe and one of the best people I've ever had the fortune to meet, has come out as gay. George, at the height of the Star Trek popularity was always classy, always available to fans at conventions and was the only "star" to ever make a point of thanking the volunteers during the convention. That may not seem big deal to some people, but I've seen good and bad behavior and this was the best. I wish him ALL the happiness possible.

Rosa Parks will be the first woman EVER to lie in state in the Capital Rotunda. Her body will lie in state Sunday October 30 and Monday, October 31. Her body will then be returned to Detroit and will be again honored by being on dislay at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
