last night, my shoulder went on me. i don't know what happened, what I did, what it affected, but given that it's been a problem for months and at the moment hurts when i try certain things,I'm going to avoid typing for the next several days. I tore the hell out of something - sort of tripping with my cane and just skewing it somehow. My left shoulder and yes, I am left handed and I use my cane on the left. this sucks big time and I have no idea what's wrong. one doctor did say he suspected rotator cuff problems. anyone who's ever had this sort of thing knows how much of a hassle it is - I can't do much of anything, it's sort of random what works and what doesnt'. i've been up for an hour and a half and i'm already really tired.

so i'm not going to be posting for a while - i'm late on some reviews too but it's just not a good idea to try to be scintillating, witty and full of insight when the big challenge of the morning is how to, or indeed IF you can, get your tee shirt on.

I'm trying to decide if watching Wimbledon would be a fun distraction or if every time someone tried to serve, i'd feel it. AS for the Tour De France, what the fuck is going on there? Jan Ullman AND Ivan Basso? Can it be?

This IS a chance to catch up on the TBR pile maybe. The library delivery is Thursday and I know my first grab (right handed) will be the new Sookie Stackhouse (hurray!); i also have a bunch of Mutts cartoon collections. That I could use.

I did happen to make a doctor's appointment for this week to talk about, among other things, upping my pain meds or changing what I take as i'm getting less and less help from the level/type i'm taking now. I average 5 vicodin a day - not the highest dosage. I hadn't planned on needing a show-and-tell of this type however.
