I know, I know, it's a little.....pink.
Don't worry, this is NOT Malibu Barbie's Snarky Blog I'm doing this for the rest of October to honor my many friends who have survived breast cancer. October as I'm sure you know isBreast Cancer Awareness Month and the color pink is everywhere. I am so not a pink kinda person (ok except for rather neon shades of same) but this is an easy way to remind myself and others of the disease. Like everyone, I am sure, who's been touched by this cancer, who has lost people to it or has seen people survive, it's just a way to say "remember". Push for funding (think about how many years ago, womens' health issues (and this is mostly a women's health issue) took back seat. then look at the current bullshit/horror where we learn women surviving domestic abuse are being told that that is a pre-existing condition and ponder how far we've come and how far we have to go in this damn society.
