2006-08-31 3:10 PM Coffee for the Muse Wrote another 250 words or so last night of the new story, tentatively retitled, after I decided to just roll with the implicit noir-ish-ness of the structure, "Hold Me In The Darkness And Tell Me Lies." 250 words is pretty pathetic after almost a week of nothing, but under the circumstances I felt pretty happy about it. # Hey, just because it's an arbitrary mental tick that's bothering me right now, does anybody remember the name of that stupid movie where Liz Hurley played the devil? There's a scene in there I was just thinking about where Brendan Frasier (I think) is a Columbian drug lord surrounded his flunkies and he's waving around a lit cigar, looking out at his bounty and he declares in a flamboyant attempt at a Columbian accent, "Life is very good." ...but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the damned movie. # In other news, I finally got paid today. Also, the stores have re-opened post-Ernesto. The conjunction of these two facts means that I now have....drum roll...*access to coffee.* Life is Very Good.
