Yes, I'm still alive.

Sometimes my friends like to express concern about that when I don't post or otherwise show up on-line for a while.

In fact, not only am I still breathing, I finished my first short story in a while over the weekend, "Princess of Rats, Queen of Spiders." It is, for better or worse, the most traditional-fantasy-ish thing I've ever written, complete with flying carpets and actual use of the word "magic."
