Okay here is a beauty.

This is an excerpt from a letter to the editor in today's Pensacola News Journal . The letter is about drilling for oil. Try not to do anything involving brain power after reading this...

We have a pending crisis facing this nation and perhaps a large part of the free world. That crisis is the supply of oil... It has become fashionable to impede the drilling of oil in this country. A certain group of individuals believe that drilling may have some horrible outcome, such as harming the mating habits of the caribou or some other ridiculous reason.

(here comes the best part)

I would ask those people - why do they think that God gave us oil?

The letter then goes on to make a few good points, like the fact that we shouldn't have to rely on the Middle East etc... but I couldn't help but laugh out loud when I read the first part.

I love this country. Freedom of speech allows for not only brilliance but some great comedy as well.
