I'm madly in love.

And it's name is AVID non-linear editing system. Oh yes, I am smitten.

I never want to go back to the old tape-to-tape crappy ass video editing machines. I know I will have to at some point to accomodate those who are behind the times, but let me now just revel in the glory and power that comes from editing a package on the AVID.

And as I was walking down the street today after we finished shooting the rally at the Thompson Center, a youngish man on the street with a clip board approached me. He was advocating some readily unrecognizable cause and had that give-me-money look in his eye. Do you have a few minutes to answer some questions, he asked. No, I said...I'M ON DEADLINE. I said it in a don't screw with me or you'll feel my producer's wrath kind of way, and stormed on by like I was on a mission to save the world. Good lord, I'm becoming a monster!

Oh well, I'm a happy monster.
