Buffalo Gal Judi Griggs I'm a communications professional, writer, cynic, mother, wife and royal pain. The order depends on the day. I returned to my hometown in November 2004 after a couple of decades of heat and hurricanes. I can polish pristine copy, but not here. This is my morning exercise -- 20-minute takes without a net or spellcheck. It's easier than sit ups for me. No guarantee what it will be for you. 2004-04-27 6:51 AM 47 percent normal The Internet has opened new worlds of possibility for professional procastinators such as myself. Just yesterday I received a compelling email from tickle.com inviting me to take a free quiz finally answering the important question "How normal are you?"
After wading through several screens of multiple choice questions, it only took the length of an on-screen video ad to do the calculations and report I am 47 percent normal. Close to a majority, but only enough to make me president if I had a brother in Florida. Most folks who know me would have expected less of me(they generally do). It was a bit off-putting to discover I could be just one mini-van away from being more normal than not, way too close for comfort. Who would have thought you could march to the beat of a different drummer in lockstep? All those corporate years apparently took their toll. I hear it's like smoking, it takes two years out for every one year in to heal. The road from normalcy stretches long in front of me. One way to deal with the issue would be to stop taking on-line personality quizzes. But I fear that would be the normal response.
