Buffalo Gal Judi Griggs I'm a communications professional, writer, cynic, mother, wife and royal pain. The order depends on the day. I returned to my hometown in November 2004 after a couple of decades of heat and hurricanes. I can polish pristine copy, but not here. This is my morning exercise -- 20-minute takes without a net or spellcheck. It's easier than sit ups for me. No guarantee what it will be for you. 2005-02-05 9:03 AM Cheering for the Wolf The Law and Ordering of America is complete.
While it doesn't seem like we can get a hand on it in real life, particularly in our own overseas exploits, America has shown we love to get the crime, solution and prosecution in 60 minute bites including commercials. In at least one place, I'm looking forward to the process. Tomorrow the BPO presents not "Peter and the Wolf" but "Peter v. the Wolf." Yep, we're putting the beast on trial and the instruments will be called to the stand. Prokofiev still gets to provide the same tunes I heard on my grandmother's scratchy turntable, but the action is more in tune with the generation whose parents discovered MTV. I've got a gaggle of cousins' kids (if gaggle is not the proper collective noun for cousins' kids ,it is now) coming to our acoustically perfect peformance hall tomorrow afternoon. Kleinhans is a regiatered historic site and an aural marvel. But looking to the staid lady's future, there are no sweeter sounds than the gasps and laughter of children. And a good defense attorney should be able to show the Wolf was so totally framed on that duck thing... Copyright 2004 Judi Griggs Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
