Buffalo Gal
Judi Griggs

I'm a communications professional, writer, cynic, mother, wife and royal pain. The order depends on the day. I returned to my hometown in November 2004 after a couple of decades of heat and hurricanes. I can polish pristine copy, but not here. This is my morning exercise -- 20-minute takes without a net or spellcheck. It's easier than sit ups for me. No guarantee what it will be for you. Mapquest is no help here

I believe I'm on a clear path with specific direction, but I can't seem to avoid the detours. In trying to keep my nose down and feet moving forward, I'm stuck at yet another crossroad.
For all the angst, drama and investigation sunk into previous decisions, I may as well just flip a coin.
The things you assume are infallible are not. The things you accept as a calculated risk disenigrate as calculated.
A friend of mine drives a Lexus SUV. The screen in the dash shows video of where you're heading when you back up. The panel shows you a map of exactly where you are and all the roads around you when you move forward. Imagine how much sweeter it would be if you could install the device in a life -- if a little screen could really tell you exactly where you've been and where you're going.
Even if I had it, I'd probably close my eyes.
