Actually no fighting, but LB went from sitting down to standing up totally unassisted for the first time today. He usually needs a wall, a hand or some other object to grab onto to help pull himself up, but not today. Amazingly enough, Phil had the video camera rolling when he did it too. I don't think we've caught many firsts on video, but we got this one, YAY!!

I think he's either being knocked loopy by allergies or has caught a cold, because he's been coughing a fair amount today. Plus, he slept for almost 15 hours last night. At 11:15 this morning we decided it was time to get him up. Apparently he's got his daddy's sleep gene.

When he walks he doesn't watch where he's going so he trips over things. We think he's found a minor solution to this problem, he's starting lifting his feet up relatively high when he walks. Makes him look goofy, but also rather cute. He's also garnered a new nickname, Veer, (or Vir, or the Veerinator). He'll make a bee line for one of us and then suddenly veer off when he gets close. It's cute and funny and we try not to take it personally.

It's so much fun watching him grow and learn and explore.
