Today a friend of a friend came to pick up Toy. After more than 16 years, it was time. While he seemed to be doing fine as a pet, I was aware that he wasn't getting the attention that he deserved. That added to the fact that LB is getting to the age where he'll start to be curious about things and I'd worry about him pulling the tank over onto himself. So I put out the call that I wanted to find a new home for him.

I was surprised at how hard it was to see him go. I know he's going to a good loving home, his new owner has other snakes and has cared for many of them through the years.

They've promised numerous updates and pictures, and he's only moving to Canoga Park, but it was tough. It was rough seeing the blank spot where his tank lived ever since we moved into this house.

I'll miss having him around but I know he's going to a home where he'll be better taken care of, I just didn't have the time for the attention he deserved.
