My last entry was spent talking about the downer stuff at school this past week.

I did get the opportunity to do something wonderfully rewarding too.

It was decided that we would have a "student of the semester" program and each teacher got to choose up to 3 students to receive the award.

On Friday, I got to announce the recipients. It felt really good to be able to pat some of my best students on the back, they deserve it and don't often receive it.

I'm not feeling terribly positive about school and my career right now, in spite of the good stuff. I guess I just gotta keep myself away from anonymous student venting grounds and also realize that I teach a HARD subject, no two ways about it, no way I can ever make it easy for most of the students. (sigh) and this was supposed to be a positive entry.

In any case, I'm going to bed now.
