Today's weather report called for clouds in the morning burning off in the afternoon and highs in the low 80's where I was. A definite improvement over the past few weeks, but a far cry from what I'd prefer.
What we actually saw today was no sun. I did not see the sun at all today. It wasn't dark, just cloudy. It did mist a bit at times, but the weather was cool and pleasant. I don't know what the high temperature was today, but it was nowhere near 80. In fact, I just looked it up and the high at Burbank Airport today was 69 degrees. GLORIOUS!! When I picked him up at preschool, LB did not complain that the car was too hot to get in. I had a dr. appointment this afternoon and on the way there, I noticed a small hole in the relatively low cloud cover. Looking up through it, I could see a mix of blue sky and more clouds, much higher up. I suspect that explains why there was not the burn off. The sun just didn't manage to get through BOTH layers of clouds. Whatever the reason, it was a much welcomed respit from the heat and sun of the summer. It is not supposed to hold for many days, but I'll take what I can get. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
