ANL paid a surprise visit to Nana this morning at the retirement center. Nana doesn't do so well with surprises at age 85 and it took her awhile to remember who A was. This embarrasses her greatly. This oldest daughter's energy is contagious. It's easy to laugh and just be with her. Her heart is as big as Houston and like her mother, she rarely stops talking. Her small self, years ago, was just as energetic, unpredictable and all over the place as her real life daughter is now. A's doing a substantial building project downtown so he's here weekly for awhile. L is sweet and lively as always and does love her grandma! Those little arms around my neck feel like angel hugs. Had leisurely family lunch at Ninfa's before they headed back to Austin and the routines of daily life.
