Finally trudged my way through the Medicare Supplement Part D and got Mother enrolled............no wonder seniors across the country are complaining about the confusion. She could have never completed the enrollment process without me there along with a social worker from Medicare trained to explain all the plans and choices. Today, more even than usual, I realize how I serve the role of trusted interpreter for Mother and the responsibility that goes with that. Mother just doesn't trust anyone until she hears me tell her the same thing. I'm so glad I'm able to be here for her.
