Mother's emergency of the day qualifed as a real problem. Seems she was once again sweet-talked by a phone solicitor into giving out her bank account number and other personal information. It took a few hours for it to dawn on her that such disclosure was something we had talked about and she had promised to not do again. This led to calling me nearly hysterical. She wanted directions to Westheimer, one of the busiest nearby main streets, so she could drive to try to find her bank and change her account. Working at the house with the renovation folks, I couldn't get away so I arranged for the retirement center shuttle to drive her over and back. Now she is calm again, feeling embarrassed but secure with her new account. Reminds me how I don't like those folks that prey on the elderly..............they never give it a rest.
