A private limo picked us up at home at 6:45am. Easy drive to the airport in the Houston rain but that same rain gave us a 3 1/2 hour delay in departure. First class seats. Arrived at small regional airport Liberia in Costa Rica and greeted by private car driver there. Roads in Costa Rica are a challenge - to say they are deeply rutted would be such an understatement. Arrived at the beautiful Hotel Diria to find William has thoughtfully arranged every detail including our first floor room opening straight out onto the Pacific beach.

So strange to think of being on a "honeymoon". We decided to spend our time in a secluded, exotic, warm place that we considered special and looks like we chose well....Tamarindo Beach.

Now if only I can recover from the malaria, hepatitis A and typhoid shots!
