My beautiful oldest daughter, Nancy, celebrated her birthday yesterday. My oldest grandchild, her son, turned 12 on the 1st of this month. Today they came to celebrate with us. Lilly in the pool, Sam on his skateboard and Nancy and I together on the deck - definitely my way to celebrate :)

As I watch the kids splashing, laughing, and playing, and think of their cousins, I realize again that my grandchildren are the most special gifts my children could have ever given me.
