An exclusive club, this. Only chicken pox alumni qualify. Seems the virus hangs around in the body of everyone who has ever had chicken pox and the medical websites say “basically everyone has had chicken pox although some had such a mild case it went unrecognized.” Let me just say, “THIS BITES!”

After the sciatic nerve in my left hip went out last Monday, I went to the chiropractor who worked his usual magic only to discover by Wednesday the burning welts covering the full length of my left leg and hip. I must say that Shingles is every bit as painful as I’ve always heard. Intense. Don’t touch me. No bed covers. Nothing. Even the air burns! Yeow.
