Up early to get Lisa ready for the move back to Austin and her cool new apartment. I drop Bill off at the rental truck place (post Starbucks), wondering at the empty freeway. The ever-present-road-crew-gods have closed I10 at the Loop in BOTH directions for the entire weekend. Yeow.

Back to the house, load furniture, washer, dryer, vacuum, etc. to furnish the collegiate abode. All of them, Bill and the movers in one truck, Lisa, Henry and Snuggles in her car, finally depart for Austin with the ultimate destination of San Antonio.

Houston board meeting, debate, revise, create, plan. Drive home hanging one side of body out of car.

Matt and Anya visit awhile in the afternoon, preparing for Matt’s 10 year high school reunion. (may God protect me from the memories of mine!) Luke helps take Lexy to the boarding place in town after a trying day of training. Even when we are both exhausted, I walk away from our talks with such a heart full of warmth and love.

Girlfriend Gale spends several hours commiserating on my miserable current physical state while apologetically stuffing obvious giggles.

Back to my couch cushion floor pallet, propped on pillows, welts burning and stinging, laying in the dark falling to sleep…………hopefully.
