Glorious reunion. Friend Meg was back in town today for Presbytery commitments, Whole Foods, chiropractor visit, other stuff and picnic! Yep. She’s back already. I whisked her into my office, rescuing her from the waiting room of clients, just as my last morning client left. She was beaming as always and loaded with lunch. We improvised a table in my office, spread tissues for napkins, popped open tops on Tazo tea containers and ignored my ringing phone. She unpacked Blue Diamond Hazelnut crackers, chicken-cranberry spread, chicken spring rolls with the best peanut sauce and another spread, the name of which I cannot recall now, all from Whole Foods. We caught up on life as we nibbled away the hour and by the time I had to leave for Doc Ana’s, I felt spiritually renewed and energized. Those of you who know Meg know that just being in her presence is grounding and calming.
