We raised over $400 for LAF at our Houston branch association party this afternoon. A significant amount for a small branch. PJ’s house in Montrose was decorated beautifully and delicious food was everywhere! Judy kept us all laughing as she auctioned the items. The holidays seem to be moving along a little quickly this year. We have most of our shopping done but lots of wrapping still to do and cards to send out. The first batch of cards went into the mailbox this afternoon. I don’t think as many people send cards as they used to. Maybe it’s the cost of stamps? I don’t know. But I’m the one that loves the all Christmas music radio station and reading every single Christmas letter from friends. I do, however, draw the line at fruitcake. Just can’t seem to acquire a taste for it. Just remembered we do still need to buy the items for the family we adopted for Christmas. Maybe we’ll get that done this evening.
