Surrounded with snow, ice and friends with canceled flights. Goal for today ~ brave the drive back to Albuquerque a day early and hope for our flight tomorrow morning to leave on schedule. That much-publicized sprawling winter storm finally moved on out during the night and the street-clearing crews are working hard without appearing to make much progress ~ too much ice under the snow. It's currently 21 degrees, feels like 7 degrees. Preparing to check out and load the car... off we go!
