Had lunch again today with 5th grader Jacob at his elementary school. Only today turned out to also be Field Day. My treat! I never missed a Field Day for Nancy and Holly and made almost all of them for Matt and Luke but only got to a couple for Jay. I've gone from Mom attending to Grammy attending. I love watching the kids shoot baskets, run races, skate-board, sing, swing and line-dance. Got some great photos of Jacob and friends Zane and Nicholas. I swear the music speakers blast the music nearly to downtown! So much fun but a little melancholy to realize it was likely my last one. No more grandchildren here in town.

But wait! There's hope! When I drive to Austin each year for Grandparents Day lunch with still-in-elementary-school Lilly I will have to remember to ask, "When is Field Day?"
