2004-06-24 2:20 PM (Not So) Bad Carma Mood: Melodramatic Read/Post Comments (3) |
Ok, so there I was... (Just for your information, it is never a good thing when a pilot starts a sentence with this phrase... in case you were wondering) in the parched Iraqi deserts on the western front, training the bold youth of tomorrows battles how to employ Rotary Wing CAS (Close Air Support)with a live fire demonstration. I even arrange for the little bastards to get in the Huey for a bird's eye view! So, in my infinite wisdom, I sent the two fat kids first. The Huey struggled against itself to climb from the ground... its gears churning, its engines roaring, its blades took a chunk out of the sky and began to rise! She pushed herself forwart to reach forward and touch the face of God and then...! and then failed... miserably... and spread the skids. (that means we broke it) More of your hard earned tax dollars at work! Don't worry, no one was hurt and it'll be fixed in a couple of days. So I figured they would re-instate my old call sigh "Bad Carma", but then I figured that given the grvity of our situation (no pun intended) in this country, that this incident turned out to be "Not So Bad Carma" after all.
Well, the good news is, I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance! (someone will get that more than others). Well, time crunch. I'll try and keep you all updated more frequently. Apparently it anoys people when I don't keep up... Sorry 'bout that. Keep up the good fight on the home front! I'll do the same here!
