2004-01-23 3:20 PM Attention all writers... Mood: A writer's challenge Read/Post Comments (2) |
Because the very vision of this wonderful journal site "Journalscape" was developed and enhanced primarily for writers...here's a heads up...specifically for screenwriters.
Starting the first week in February, "Project Greenlight" (developed by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck - hosted by Chris Moore) will be accepting screenplays for it's next season, Project Greenlight 3. I submitted last year, followed the season on HBO (after "Sex in the City", ofcourse) , and attended the premiere of "The Battle of Shaker Heights". You can read my review on an earlier journal entry. It was an amazing experience. Anyway, there is a small entry fee. As well, you must get your work copyrighted by the US copyright office and the Writers Guild of America. There are small fees for these, as well. But, you know, you pick your battles...what's important to you. Also, I'm very excited to find out (because in my new apartment I don't get HBO), BRAVO has just picked up this new season to broadcast! That's exciting! If your interested, the link to the project greenlight page is at the top of this screen (www.projectgreenlight.com) Another site which accepts on-going submissions where you don't have to pay a fee is www.triggerstreet.com, developed by Kevin Spacey. If you want any more info on either of these contests or personal experience, you can always post or email me... Break a leg...I can still say that even for a writing contest, right? I mean it is focused on screenwriting, a medium of the arts. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
