DAY 3
Getting up again and lounging about, we headed into the city to Pete's Tavern (where O'Henry wrote) and got a bite of brunch. I have eaten more eggs the last few days than in the past few weeks. I took him up to Rockefellar Center where Ryan and I met Jay Leno at the NBC Experience Store through our super interactive experience! We stopped for a bite of chocolate at La Maison Du Chocolate and then walked towards Bryant Park to where I traded in my ancient cell phone for a super cool new one. They realized I've been with Verizon for so long that I'm actually entitled to a real phone! On top of my new phone...I got a phone purse! It's cute and cushions my phone from any guck.

Anywho, we marched up broadway and grabbed a few presents for Ryan's friends. Then, enjoyed our evening of "RENT". Ryan and I have both seen this but neither have seen in New York, so this was great! It was so nice to see a show where the voices were so lyrical...not pushing so much. After the show, we happened to follow the actor that played Benny down the street and made our way to some greek food. My tradition...Uncle Nicks. We had some flaming cheese, Spinich pie, and Ryan had this filet with tomatoes. Once, Ryan's Staten Island friend, Super Eric, shows up, we headed over to Don't Tell Mama's for some broadway tunes. I met some unemployed actors there. Fun times. Leaving Don't Tell Mama's, the pianist seranaded us with "So long, Farewell" and Eric was kind enough to drive us all the way back to Brooklyn. Once in Times Square, the cops approached his car and came at him with their guns when he tried to get out of the car. Apparently, Eric wasn't wearing his seatbelt. Well, that's one way to learn your lesson! Only the NY cops for you....someone's probably being shot somewhere and you have 5 cops pulling "rank" because someone wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Again, not disbuting that the fact he wasn't wearing the seatbelt but the way it was handled. There's no need for so much drama in today's world. This coming from someone who can't avoid it no matter how hard I try.

As soon as we get home, Ryan taught me a few line dances which I'm sure the neighbors loved at 2:30am. Then we threw in "Secretary" with Maggie Gillenhal and the very yummy James Spader.

4:45AM - Snickers tucks us in bed

The next day, I see Ryan off after the very LONG subway/tram ride to the airport, get home, feed my bunny, and collapse!
