Finally, I saw Spiderman 2 this past weekend. Boy was it worth the wait!

Because I love Toby Maguire, Alfred Molina, and Donna Murphy I was very excited to see this movie. Especially since I enjoyed the first one sooo much. I think the filmmakers were trying to answer questions in this film...however in doing that left a lot of holes...and should I add...sloppy holes. They tried to make this a character piece. I think Alfred Molina was seriously under used...his character seemed to have a very shallow motivation seemed like a very lame "joker" (referring to another comic book villian...the joker). I was unimpressed. Toby Maguire's role also seemed very flat. Don't get me wrong. These two actors are GREAT! I think there was a serious directing/editing flaw.

Most of the movie, I was so BORED...but not as horrified as when they made their next serious directing flaw...having Kirsten Dunst think she's a classical actress. Oh my God! Don't you people know any better. At that point, I looked at my bunny and said..."That's it. I'm done". The end...yes, I couldn't believe I got to the end myself. The last 30 minutes...the big fight scene between Spiderman and Dr. Octopus...I spent more time trying to figure out why they had a train on the west side highway. I didn't think there was a train on the westside highway. Then, I kept thinking that maybe they were filming in another part of new york or maybe it was a metro train above ground in grand central. All of this going through my head during this FASCINATING fight sequence. Then, I realized they designed this train on their set to be on the west side highway. Ahhh, now it makes sense. As soon as I get back to the movie I notice that this now make believe train apparently is under construction. The tracks stop mid-way in the air through the city. So, wait a minute! Are you telling me (yes, even being a superhero movie) that I am supposed to believe a bunch of people are going to get on a train with a conductor just to ride it until the train tracks run out. Are they all trying to kill themselves!!!! Seriously, I'm confused. It would make more sense if there was some force that blew out the tracks causing this huge gap above New York. Who knows...maybe this happened between me taking a nap, screaming/begging for relief from Kirsten Dunst british accent and "supreme" acting, and the fact that I couldn't figure out for 20 minutes if there was a freakin' train above the west side highway!!

Thoughts?
