Bright and early this morning, Clover, my spunky beta, died. It was a very sad morning at the Lundberg household. Clover was with Snickers and I for 3 1/2 months. I noticed when I came back from vacation this past tuesday, she had white fuzz around her...like a tutu. After cleaning her bowl, I called the fish pharmacist and he said she had a bacterial infection. I got her some medicine which is supposed to cure her of all the ailments. It did take the fuzz of her...which was the good news. The bad news is this disease ate away some of her flesh causing her wounds to be exposed. Even with the medicine, they just weren't healing. I tried to make her as comfortable as possible. Snickers and I actually said our goodbyes last night having a hunch she may not make it to the morning.

We loved having Clover as a part of our family. She got her name by surviving with flair continual dramas. We will miss her and I hope she and Viola (my previous fish who was actually a male beta) find each other and live happily ever after.
