So, I spent part of my birthday at my manager's doing take after take for my audition reel to send for this new pilot that ABC is picking up in the Fall. I think at some point I need to invest in a camcorder because I've learned my biggest flaw on the screen is I do this "Young Frankenstein" thing of arching my brows rather than keeping the top part of my face relaxed. My acting coach recently brought this to my attention and it makes everything I do look somewhat campy. Now I get why people are always giggling in my auditions. Hmm...it all makes sense. Anywho, after picking the best scene we transferred it to video and I rushed it over to Fed-Ex.

I had a slotted audition yesterday for the next "Foxwoods" commercial...which is a casino, just a reference. I got there and even though I had a slot, the casting director was apparently so over her limit in girls that she turned people away. So, that was fun to take time out of my day to waste...not to mention I got out off the wrong subway and walked closed to 10 blocks in high heels to get there...in the New York humidity. I was not a happy camper. I left her a "nice" note.

Finally, my manager referred me to another company which does a lot of modeling, print work, and commercials. So, these guys are HOPEFULLY going to start sending me out for this type of work in addition to the management company I work with now.

Something better come soon. The desk job is starting to get annoying. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the income...just would rather be getting it while on a stage or on the screen.
